Congress: Arvind Kejriwal’s claims of honesty unconvincing
Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Devender Yadav criticised Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal during a press conference here on Sunday, calling his recent claims of honesty in the “Janta Ki Adalat” a facade before a “hired crowd”.
“Kejriwal’s attempt to project himself as ‘kattar imaandaar’ has only made him a laughing stock. His claims of integrity are unconvincing, and the public sees through his blatant lies,” Yadav stated. He accused Kejriwal of taking credit for work he never completed, asserting that the CM’s past promises about education and health improvements have not materialised.
Yadav highlighted that parents were reluctant to send their children to government schools and that the conditions in government hospitals deter people from seeking treatment. “Despite having the resources, Kejriwal failed to establish even one of the promised 500 new schools,” he said.
Pointing to the city’s infrastructure, Yadav listed issues such as broken roads, a depleted DTC bus fleet and persistent water shortages as signs of Kejriwal’s mismanagement over the past decade.
Yadav further questioned Kejriwal’s motivation for resigning as Chief Minister upon his release from jail, asking, “If he is innocent, why did he step down after receiving bail?
