Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) president Devender Yadav launched a scathing attack on the AAP government at a rally at Ghonda Chowk in North East Delhi on Sunday. It marked the 10th day of the Congress’s Delhi Nyay Yatra and the start of the second phase of the yatra. Addressing thousands of Congress workers, street vendors, bus marshals, and local residents, Yadav criticised the Kejriwal government for failing to implement the Street Vending Act, which he claimed had left lakhs of street vendors vulnerable to daily harassment by police and Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) officials.

“The Street Vending Act, passed during the Congress-led UPA government at the initiative of Ajay Maken, was a milestone to secure a livelihood for street vendors by designating separate vending zones. However, the Kejriwal government has displaced vendors snatching their right to earn a living,” Yadav said, addressing the crowd.

The rally, which traversed Ghonda and Seelampur constituencies before concluding at Jaffrabad’s Nala Road, aimed to highlight what the Congress described as 'the failures of both the BJP and AAP governments in Delhi'.

Yadav asserted that the Nyay Yatra’s goal was to rid Delhi of "corrupt and incompetent" governments. “People are fed up with the misery inflicted by the AAP and BJP in the past decade," he stated.
