A free breast cancer screening camp was organised by the BJP Mahila Morcha general secretary, Priyal Bhardwaj, at Dyal Singh College on Tuesday, and it attracted hundreds of women for vital health screenings using thermal technology. The initiative was conducted in partnership with the Sangini Saheli Foundation.

Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Annapurna Devi, spoke about the significance of early detection. “Breast cancer is entirely treatable if detected early,” she emphasised, urging increased awareness among women. “Millions fall victim to this disease every year, but with timely awareness and early detection, many can overcome it.”

Bhardwaj echoed these sentiments and stated, “Recognising the significant issue of breast cancer, we are launching a dedicated campaign focused on awareness and screening.” She assured attendees similar camps would be held in the future and stressed the importance of immediate testing if any symptoms arise. “Staying vigilant and getting timely check-ups is crucial in the fight against this disease,” she added.
