The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday took legal action against two schools in Delhi for allegedly submitting fake land certificates during their affiliation process.
The schools in question are Manava Bhawna Public School, located on Nathupura Main Road, Burari, and Sant Saheb Public School, based in C-Block, Som Bazar, Nanhey Park, Uttam Nagar.
The CBSE clarified that it employs a robust and meticulous process to grant affiliations to schools. This includes submission of various mandatory documents, which are thoroughly scrutinised for accuracy and legitimacy. The Board verifies these documents with the relevant issuing authorities to ensure their authenticity.
During verification process, the CBSE found that the land certificates submitted by these institutions were not authentic. Following the discovery, it filed police complaints against the schools at Preet Vihar police station.
In its statement, the Board reiterated its commitment to upholding stringent standards in the affiliation process. The CBSE added that it would take all necessary steps to ensure that only schools meeting the prescribed requirements are granted affiliation.
