Briefly: Man bludgeoned to death in Burari
A 22-year-old man was allegedly bludgeoned to death in North Delhi’s Burari area, the police said on Saturday. The victim was identified as Prince, a resident of Burari, they said. The body was found on Saturday morning on the roadside with the head smashed with stones and bricks, a police officer said. Prince was facing multiple cases of theft and snatching and recently got bail, the officer said. A case of murder has been registered.
Two vehicle thieves held
Gurugram: The Gurugram police arrested two vehicle thieves from Sector 56 and recovered three stolen bikes from their possession. According to the police, a team of the crime unit, DLF Phase 4, arrested the two thieves from near a park in Sector 56 on Friday. The arrested were identified as Netrapal, a resident of Dharmkheri village in Hisar district, and Ajay, a native of West Bengal. OC
Mayor conducts inspection
New Delhi: Delhi’s newly elected Mayor Mahesh Khinchi and Deputy Mayor Ravinder Bhardwaj conducted their first inspection on Saturday, after taking charge, to address the growing problem of garbage accumulation in the city.
