Brief: Canter carrying liquor overturns
A canter carrying liquor bottles overturned on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway near Jajru village in Faridabad on Wednesday night. The driver and helper fled the scene, leaving the vehicle behind, the police said. The accident caused several bottles to break and scatter across the road, attracting passersby who stopped their vehicles to loot the bottles. Upon receiving information, a police team arrived at the spot. “No documents related to the transportation of liquor were found in the vehicle. It is suspected that the liquor was being transported illegally. We have seized the liquor,” said a senior police officer.
