BJP’s Virendra Sachdeva criticises AAP for ‘undermining’ police morale
Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva condemned AAP leaders, particularly Saurabh Bhardwaj, for allegedly undermining the morale of the Delhi Police due to political motivations. His comments come in the wake of a recent murder incident in Shahdara.
“The Delhi Police generally apprehends criminals within 24 to 96 hours and resolves cases efficiently,” Sachdeva said. “It’s regrettable that leaders like Bhardwaj continuously attempt to demoralise our police force for their vested interests.”
Sachdeva noted a concerning trend of crimes involving victims with criminal backgrounds, stating that such cases could be particularly challenging to resolve. He cited the Shahdara incident, wherein a man with 14 criminal cases registered against him was murdered, reportedly arranged by an acquaintance for just Rs 70,000. “Despite the complexities, the Delhi Police swiftly apprehended the culprits and resolved the case,” he added.
