BJP pays tributes to Maharishi Valmiki

A delegation of senior BJP leaders, led by Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva, paid floral tributes at the Valmiki Temple on Mandir Marg to commemorate Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti on Thursday.

Joining Sachdeva were organisation general secretary Pawan Rana and MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri along with Bansuri Swaraj along with the Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly, Vijender Gupta. At the temple, they paid their respects before Maharishi Valmiki’s idol.

Sachdeva said , “Maharishi Valmiki’s teachings promote unity and peace within society. He is regarded as the first exponent of Sanskrit literature and his work in spreading Lord Rama’s message through the Ramayana will always be remembered.”

Sachdeva also highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s respect for the Valmiki community and recalled moments when the PM bowed to community members at Varanasi and launched the national cleanliness campaign from the Valmiki Temple at Panchkuian Road in Delhi.

BJP leader Bansuri Swaraj reflected on the significance of Maharishi Valmiki’s life. She said, “The life of Valmiki teaches us that your present and future are determined by your actions, not your past. Lord Valmiki gifted humanity the great epic, the Ramayana, which helps the entire human race.”
