BJP marks PM Modi’s birthday with blood donation camp
On Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, the Delhi BJP organised a series of events to celebrate and honour his leadership. The day’s activities included a blood donation camp, prayers, and a special initiative for persons with disabilities.
The morning began with a blood donation camp at the national party office complex, inaugurated by BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda. Over the next three days, the Delhi BJP will extend this initiative across all 14 organisational districts.
Delhi BJP president Sachdeva also participated in a special ardas at Gurdwara Bala Sahib on Ring Road. The ceremony was attended by BJP national office secretary Mahendra Pandey, former MLA Sardar Tarvinder Singh Marwah and municipal councillor Sardar Arjun Marwah.
Simultaneously, the Ministry of Social Empowerment launched a series of 75 special programmes nationwide aimed at supporting persons with disabilities. In Delhi’s Chandni Chowk parliamentary constituency, a significant event was held at the historic Lav Kush Ramlila Pandal, located in front of the Red Fort. Chief Guest, MP Praveen Khandelwal, emphasised the government's commitment to inclusivity.
“The initiative reflects the government’s dedication to ensure that persons with disabilities receive the support they need to lead independent and dignified lives,” he said. He further noted that assistive devices, valued at Rs 80 lakh, were distributed to enhance mobility, communication and overall independence.
