While AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal hosted ‘Janta ki Adalat’ in the Capital, the BJP held a ‘Thank You, Modi Ji' rally at Mukundpur, Burari, led by Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva.

The event attracted nearly 10,000 attendees from unauthorised colonies, urbanised villages and non-conforming factory areas, all gathered to express their gratitude for recent government initiatives.

In September, Sachdeva and all seven Lok Sabha MPs submitted a memorandum to the L-G, detailing the public’s critical demands. The Centre responded positively by removing the requirement for departmental NOCs for electricity connections in unauthorised colonies and reviving property mutations after two decades.

“We are here to express our appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for addressing the concerns of Delhi residents,” Sachdeva stated, assuring the crowd that the BJP would fulfil their dreams if it comes to power.

“In our first Cabinet meeting, we will implement electricity and water subsidies for the common people and the middle class,” he added.

BJP national secretary Alka Gurjar took aim at the Kejriwal government, describing it as a “living tale of loot, lies and division”. She challenged Kejriwal to restart pensions and implement the Ayushman scheme in Delhi. “If they have given anything to the people of Delhi, it is only loot and division. This anti-people, anti-poor government needs to be ousted,” she asserted.

MP Manoj Tiwari highlighted the growing disillusionment with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). “A new drama has begun in Delhi, where the public is the court. Those who think they can fool the people are mistaken,” he declared. Tiwari further criticised the AAP for failing to tackle rising electricity bills.”

Yogender Chandolia, BJP MP, stated, “The Delhi Government has betrayed the villages. We are here to thank Prime Minister Modi for addressing our issues.”
