BJP councillor Kusum Lata, husband Pehlwan join AAP
BJP councillor from Kotla Mubarakpur in the Kasturba Nagar Assembly constituency Kusum Lata and her husband, Ramesh Pehlwan, re-joined the AAP on Sunday.
Soon after his joining, the party released its fourth list for the Assembly elections scheduled for February 2025, where Pehalwan’s candidature was announced from the Kasturba Nagar seat, dropping sitting MLA Madan Lal.
“It gives me immense happiness to see Ramesh Pehlwan and Kusum Lata re-joining the AAP family after seven years. They have always been dedicated to people of the Kasturba Nagar Assembly constituency and will undoubtedly strengthen our party,” AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal said.
“Under Arvind Kejriwal’s leadership, Delhi has witnessed revolutionary progress. Whether in education, healthcare, or infrastructure, his vision has transformed the city. I am proud to contribute to this journey once again,” Pehalwan said.
Kusum Lata said, “It is a party dedicated to the welfare of all. I am thrilled to join this movement under the visionary leadership of Arvind Kejriwal,” she said.
