Bidhuri distributes free gas connections to 100 women under Ujjwala Yojana
New Delhi, August 25
BJP leader and South Delhi MP Ramveer Singh Bidhuri distributed free-of-cost gas connections to 100 women in Madangir under the Prime Minister’s Ujjwala Yojana here on Sunday.
During the event, Bidhuri emphasised the BJP’s commitment to bring the benefits of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s welfare schemes to more residents in Delhi.
He said, “The Ujjwala Yojana is not just about providing a gas connection; it’s about liberating families from the health hazards caused by using wood and other traditional fuels. Thanks to PM Modi’s foresight, millions of women have been relieved from the harmful effects of kitchen smoke.”
He further added, “We are committed to ensure that all of PM Modi’s welfare schemes reach every household in Delhi. The Ayushman Bharat scheme, which provides free medical treatment up to Rs 5 lakh for the poor, is set to be launched in the Capital soon.”
Bidhuri also criticised the Kejriwal government for stalling new ration cards and pensions for the elderly. “The delay in issuing new ration cards and pensions is unacceptable. We will work to remove these obstacles and ensure that the benefits reach those in need,” he said.
The event was attended by former BJP district president Chhatrapal Singh, former municipal councillor Rekha Sankla, and Naresh Sankla, who supported the initiative and praised the efforts to improve the lives of
Delhi residents.
