Arvind Kejriwal at rally: Will stay with you after vacating CM house
Former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday said he resigned from his post due to the corruption allegations levelled against him by the CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED).
Addressing a public gathering at his ‘Janta ki Adalat’ event at Jantar Mantar, Kejriwal expressed his hurt over the charges and announced his plans to live among the public after vacating the Chief Minister’s official residence.
“I resigned because I was hurt by the corruption allegations. I have only earned respect, not money,” Kejriwal said. “I did not join politics to indulge in corruption or to sit in the CM’s chair. I am not power or money hungry. Other politicians might have thick skin, but these allegations hurt me,” he added.

Kejriwal further claimed that PM Narendra Modi had conspired against him, attacking his integrity and targeting AAP’s leaders. “For the last 10 years, we were running the government honestly. We made electricity and water free, provided free healthcare and improved education. Modi started thinking that if he wanted to win, he would have to attack our honesty,” Kejriwal said. “A conspiracy was hatched to prove Kejriwal, Sisodia and AAP leaders dishonest and put every one of them in jail,” he added.
The AAP leader announced that he would vacate the Chief Minister’s residence at the start of Navratri that begins on October 3. “After the Shraadh ends, at the beginning of Navratri, I will leave the house and live among the people,” Kejriwal declared, adding that he does not own a house.
“I have earned only love in these 10 years, and the result is that so many people are offering me their homes,” he added.
He urged the public to vote for him only if they believed in his honesty. “If you think I am honest, then vote for me, but if you think I am corrupt, then do not vote for me,” he said.
