Ahead of polls, BJP to begin parivartan yatra from Dec 8

At a joint press conference on Sunday, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva outlined the details of the campaign. "The parivartan yatra will be a foot march, not a vehicle procession, allowing for one-to-one interaction with 20,000 families in each constituency," Sachdeva said. "When you meet an individual and talk to them, you are reaching their entire family." He emphasised the BJP's history of engaging directly with the public through such campaigns.

The yatra will start from seven key Lok Sabha constituencies, with each of the seven BJP MPs covering one Assembly constituency daily. Each day will conclude with a corner public meeting, giving party leaders a chance to address residents directly. "This is a major effort to connect with the people on a large scale," Sachdeva added.

Accusing the AAP government of fostering corruption, extortion, and creating fear among citizens, Upadhyay said, "Delhi is now ready for a change of power. The people are determined to oust the Kejriwal-led government, which I call anti-national."

Upadhyay also mentioned that the yatra will begin at prominent places of worship in each constituency and will include participation from senior BJP leaders. "Through this yatra, we aim to reach out to local social organisations, RWAs, NGOs, senior citizens, key voters, sportspersons, distinguished individuals, and women," he added.

The BJP is also planning district-level outreach programmes and will engage with both social media and traditional media platforms to amplify their message. The yatra will conclude on December 20, marking a significant push for the party in a run-up to the elections.
