Bhati Ward councillor Sunder Tanwar, along with several prominent members and office-bearers of the AAP, joined the BJP here on Saturday. The event took place in the presence of Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva, who welcomed the new members with the party scarf.
Those who joined the BJP were Jagveer Jangid, organisation general secretary from Chhatarpur Assembly, former corporation candidate Ashok Ravi, former district president Vinod Tanwar and other prominent figures, including Ajay Mathur, Rahul Dagar, Krishna Tanwar, Rajesh Tanwar, Nanak Chand, Neeraj Mahalwaal, Sandeep, Naveen Lohia, Jaipal Pradhan, Sanjay Tanwar, Harish Kumar, Vijay Pal, Aadesh Dagar, Chandra Shekhar Sharma and Balveer Babaji.
Sachdeva said, “The BJP family now includes more than 180 million members. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is advancing rapidly. Unfortunately, the situation in Delhi has deteriorated under the Kejriwal government. It’s distressing that a simple walk on the street could lead to a fatal accident.”
Sachdeva criticised the Kejriwal administration, alleging, “A mere half-an-hour of rain results in severe waterlogging, which has proven deadly. The so-called health reforms and mohalla clinics have turned into a farce. The Delhi Government claims these clinics are world-class, yet the state of health services remains deplorable.”
He accused the Kejriwal government of corruption, asserting, “After 10 years of Kejriwal’s rule, corruption has replaced development as Delhi’s identity.”
Tanwar said, “I am thrilled to rejoin the party with which I began my political career. I am committed to working diligently for the BJP and strive to contribute towards forming a BJP government in Delhi alongside both new and veteran workers.”
Kartar Singh Tanwar remarked, “The honour and respect I have received from Chhatarpur workers over the past 10 to 15 years is reflected in today’s outcome. Almost all AAP workers from Chhatarpur have joined the BJP. We are committed to serving the people of Delhi and progressing alongside the country under BJP’s leadership.”
