New Delhi, September 2

The AAP on Monday said the BJP-led Central Government’s attempts to malign its leaders through fabricated cases are crumbling. It said this after the Supreme Court granted bail to the party’s former communication in-charge Vijay Nair in a money laundering case linked to the alleged Delhi excise policy scam. The party asserted that “truth can be troubled but not defeated”.

Reacting to Nair getting bail, senior party leader Manish Sisodia said in a post on X in Hindi, “Satyamev Jayate (truth alone triumphs). Another bubble of BJP’s fabricated liquor scam story burst today. Nair was kept in jail for 23 months without any proof. The only aim was — if we cannot stop Arvind Kejriwal in elections, we should stop him and his entire team. Get him arrested by ED-CBI and keep him in jail.”

Dr Sandeep Pathak, AAP’s national general secretary (organisation) said, “Another BJP-fabricated liquor scam exposed. Nair was kept in jail for 23 months without any evidence, why? Just to stop Kejriwal? Truth always prevails.”

Atishi stated on X, “The BJP-led Central Government conspired against the AAP and imprisoned many of its leaders. However, with Sisodia and Nair now out on bail, it is clear that while the truth can be challenged, it cannot be defeated.”

Similarly, minister Saurabh Bharadwaj said, “In the ED case, first Sisodia got bail, then BRS leader K Kavitha got bail and now Nair has also got bail from the SC. This is a big achievement for the whole country and a big defeat for the Centre and its investigative agencies like ED-CBI, which are now constantly getting exposed in front of the SC and the whole country.”
