New Delhi, September 1

The AAP on Sunday accused the BJP of orchestrating the abduction of their councillor Ramchandra, allegedly with the collusion of the Delhi Police. Senior AAP leader and MLA Dilip Pandey made the allegation, condemning the BJP’s actions as an attack on democracy.

Ramchandra, the Shahbad Dairy councillor, had recently rejoined AAP just three days after defecting to the BJP. According to the AAP MLA, Ramchandra was allegedly abducted by a former BJP councillor and several others who forcibly took him away in a car against his will.

“Ramchandra’s son and the entire family were deeply worried. His son posted a video on social media, stating that his father was kidnapped by a former BJP councillor and others,” Pandey elaborated.

The AAP leader claimed that the entire operation was carried out with the knowledge and consent of the top BJP leadership.

“For two hours, AAP leaders and MPs exerted pressure on Delhi Police officials through social media, and only after two hours did Ramchandra return,” he said.

Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva dismissed the AAP’s allegations as baseless and false.
