Delhi BJP forms 43 committees ahead of Assembly polls
The Delhi BJP has announced the formation of 43 committees to manage various aspects of its campaign for the upcoming Assembly elections, scheduled for February 2025.
The committees, established under the direction of Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva, will focus on tasks ranging from campaign strategy to outreach women, youths, Scheduled Castes (SCs), Other Backward Classes (OBCs) and beneficiaries of Central schemes.
The committees will handle key responsibilities such as media relations, social media strategy, campaign narrative, data management, documentation, logistics and nomination processes, according to a party statement.
New Delhi MP Bansuri Swaraj will lead the committee for campaign narrative setting, with Pradeep Bhandari, Kapil Mishra and Rajiv Babbar as members. The media committee will be convened by Praveen Shankar Kapoor, while Vikram Mittal has been appointed convener of the media relations committee.
The Delhi Assembly has 70 seats, and the BJP is gearing up for a high-stakes battle against the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in February.
