Delhi BJP chief accuses AAP of deceiving public
Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva and South Delhi MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of deceiving the public with pre-election promises to repair Delhi roads. Both leaders criticised the recent announcement by AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal and CM Atishi, calling it an attempt to gain votes ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections.
Sachdeva said, “The Atishi government in Delhi holds no political or administrative authority. By announcing the road repair schedule from the AAP office instead of the Secretariat, Kejriwal has violated constitutional and administrative norms.”
Meanwhile, Bidhuri singled out the state of New Rohtak Road, which Kejriwal and Atishi called the “worst road in Delhi”. He argued that the condition of most roads in the Capital has been poor for years, contributing to high pollution levels.
“Experts believe that the main reason for pollution in the Capital is PM 2.5 and PM 10, which are fine and coarse particles of dust. This dust is flying from the bad roads of Delhi, and ever since the AAP government has come, the condition of the roads has gone from bad to worse,” he said.
