Delegates from over 32 nations attend summit held at LPU
Delegates, representing more than 60 universities, from over 32 countries aqttended the Annual International Conference and Global Summit (AICGS)-2024, hosted by Lovely Professional University hosted.
The summit was based on the theme, ‘Global Horizons: Bridging Borders, Building Futures’. It aimed to serve as a platform for educators, thought leaders and change makers to exchange ideas and tackle global challenges.
The sessions explored new trends and strategies for globalising education, with a focus on global citizenship, cross-cultural understanding and addressing issues such as climate change and inequality.
LPU Chancellor Dr Ashok Kumar Mittal, commended the delegates for their dedication to transforming education. LPU vice-president Dr Aman Mittal emphasised the university’s commitment to talking action beyond agreements.
Dr Janette K Muir, Vice-Provost at George Mason University, US, and Dr John Murray, Academic Dean from University of Sunderland, UK, lauded LPU’s commitment to achieving educational excellence. Panel discussions were held on ‘The Future of Education: Creating Global Citizens through International Cooperation’ and ‘Transnational Education: Opportunities, Challenges, and Emerging Models in India’.
Signing six more MoUs, LPU has brought the number of partnerships with international universities to 500.
