After Rajasthan’s former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot, now Rohtak MP Deepender Hooda has hinted that outgoing MLA and Congress candidate from Rewari Chiranjeev Rao would get a significant post in the state Cabinet if the Congress came to power.

BJP govt oppressed youth, wrestlers

The BJP government, which oppressed everyone, did nothing to provide employment opportunities to the youth, dragged women wrestlers on roads in Delhi and entangled everyone in using useless portals and is going out of power. Now, it is time for the Congress to form the government in the state. — Deepender Hooda, Congress leader

Addressing a poll meeting in Rewari on Monday, Deepender called upon people to ensure Chiranjeev’s victory, saying that a huge responsibility was waiting for him in Chandigarh.

On Sunday, Pilot had promised the people of Rewari to ensure that Chiranjeev got a significant position in the state Cabinet after he became the MLA. His statement came days after Chiranjeev staked his claim for the post of Deputy Chief Minister if the Congress comes to power.

Putting the BJP government in the dock over the issue of unemployment, the MP said as soon as the Congress government came to power, 2 lakh vacant government posts would be filled on merit as per the job calendar.

“Moreover, LPG cylinders will be given at Rs 500, and Rs 2,000 will be given through the Mahalakshmi Scheme to empower women on the lines of the Congress governments of Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh. The elderly, disabled and widows will be given a pension of Rs 6,000 to strengthen social security. Old Pension Scheme will be restored for employees. We will give 300 units of free electricity and free treatment up to Rs 25 lakh, and the farmers will be given MSP,” he claimed.
