During the visit, he was informed that almost all households have been provided water supply connections. The scheme envisaged to provide safe drinking water at a rate of 55 liters per capita to every household of nearby villages.

The officials of the Jal Shakti department were instructed to conduct quality testing of water. The testing is aimed to ensure that the drinking water provided under the Jal Jeevan Mission meets the required safety standards.

The DC emphasised that every effort has to be made to ensure that the goal of tap water to all households is achieved as per the projected timeline.

The DC directed all the officials concerned to scale up the pace of work under JJM to achieve the target within the stipulated time.

He also directed the officers to regularly monitor the quality and progress of all allotted works for time-bound completion.

He was accompanied by AEE PHE Sub Division Poonch (Civil), AE Mechanical, JE Civil along with Contractors for detailed inspection of Civil and Mechanical components under this scheme.
