In a first, Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney on Tuesday started a new initiative to provide career guidance to the students of Classes VIII to XII as per their liking.

When she shared her idea with some students, one of them expressed her desire to become a Deputy Commissioner in her career. She made her sit in her chair to feel the responsibility of the DC.

As per the new initiative, future guidance will be given to the students across the district who are currently studying in Classes VIII to XII. Giving information in this regard, District Employment Bureau official Tirth Pal Singh said under the programme, children will be given guidance for the future according to their choices.

He said the DC promised that the district administration would do its best to fulfil whatever dream every child of the district has for their future. For this reason, they will take the opinion of each child about his future and after that he will be given guidance by experts.
