DAV Public School, Alampur, Kangra

The school organised the ‘Run for DAV’, aiming to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship among students. Rajeev Kumar, Naib Tehsildar, and Shakuntla Devi, Pradhan of Alampur, were distinguished guests. Over 400 students of classes VIII to XII participated under the supervision of ASI Rajender Singh, who ensured their safety. The race commenced at 7 am upon receiving the green signal from Principal Bikram Singh. The course spanned from the school premises to Jangal Sai, with comprehensive arrangements, including refreshments, medical facilities and hydration points. The chief guest and guest of honour presented awards to the winners — Banshul, Suryansh Walia and Rahul Koundel (top three winners in the boys’ category, respectively) and Anshika, Khushi Dhiman, and Vanshika (top three winners in the girls’ category, respectively). Rajeev Kumar commended the students and staff for their enthusiasm and dedication, emphasising the significance of physical fitness, teamwork and camaraderie in achieving academic excellence.
