DAV Model School, Sector 15-A, Chandigarh

The school organised a blood donation camp on its premises. The camp was undertaken under the aegis of the Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi, New Delhi, with the collaboration of the PGI, Chandigarh, and Rotary Chandigarh, City Beautiful. The chairman of the school, president, DAV CMC, Padma Shri Dr Punam Suri, and Director, PS II, DAV CMC, Dr Nisha Peshin, showered their blessings for the successful accomplishment of the camp. NSS volunteers, alumni, Rotarians, general public from the vicinity of Sector 15, staff members, students and their parents joined hands together to support the noble cause. A team of doctors from Blood Centre, PGI, Chandigarh, including Dr Anubhav and Dr Smriti, conducted the camp and ensured the safety of the donors. Total 170 participants registered and 105 units of blood were collected from volunteers, including 17 women.
