Nawanshahr, August 6

ADC (G) Rajiv Verma conducted the monthly review meeting today with the Health and Revenue Departments. The meeting was largely focused on key agendas such as the immunisation programme and the National Tobacco Control Programme.

Verma stressed on the strict prohibition of tobacco sales to minors in Nawanshahr and emphasised the need for a mass awareness campaign to support the initiative. As many as 127 inspections had been conducted under the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme from January to June, he informed.

The review meeting also covered the performance of Aam Aadmi Clinics (AAC), which began operations on 15 August 2022 in Rahon and expanded to various locations, including Takarla, Kathgarh, Katarian, Behram, Sujjon, Sahiba, Pojewal, Jabowal, Jadla, Khankhana, Paniali Kalan, Khatkar Kalan, Sandhwan Pharala, Bharta Khurd, Aur, Kamam, Balachaur, and Banga. Till today, a total of 3,32,863 OPD visits have been registered and 1,00,695 tests have been conducted.

Additionally, ADC (G) Rajiv Verma reviewed the pending cases under online court mutation (Swamitva), and e-Sewa, instructing all tehsildars to resolve these cases within the week. — TNS
