The Chandigarh Smart City Limited (CSCL) is going to do geo-mapping of assets of about 22 departments of the UT for their integration in the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC), Sector 17.

The CSCL, for now, has asked all the departments to provide excel-sheet regarding their data and information. “We will do the mapping of all wings in about three months. It will be then visible in the ICCC and help in public service delivery, planning gap analysis and provide holistic view of the city,” stated CSCL CEO Anindita Mitra.

“By the click of a button sitting at the ICCC, we will be able to know what area has electricity or water supply issue, or where all road works are required. If in some school there is a lot of issue of absentees, we will be able to know if there is some health issue in that particular area,” shared Mitra.

At present, all utility services of the corporation and the UT police are connected to the ICCC. The centre is integrated with major citizen services including water, electricity, sewage, solid waste management, transport, e-mail governance, parking and public-bike sharing for an effective monitoring of services and data analysis.
