Cross-country: Angel, Bir Pratap win medals

Angel and Bir Pratap claimed top honours in the boys’ and girls’ category, respectively, of the 13th Cross Country Race organised by St Xavier’s Senior Secondary School, Sector 44, for the ICSE schools of Chandigarh.
Angel of the host team completed the race in 15 minutes and 3 seconds (15.03) to claim the gold medal. Plaksha (15.34s) claimed the second position and Vaani (15.40s) finished at third spot.
In the boys’ senior event, Bir Pratap (11.54s), Tejas Chawla (12.03s) and Sarthak (12.23s) claimed the first three positions, respectively. In the girls’ junior event, Hunargeet (14.44s) claimed the top position, followed by Kavya of Strawberry Fields High School (15.28s) at second position, and Kanishka (16.15s) at third position. Armaan (12.53s) won the boys’ junior event,  followed by Vansh Gupta (12.54s) and Raghav (13.36s). The hosts won the overall trophy for the sixth consecutive time. Dr Ivorine Castellas, Principal, congratulated the winners. A total of 150 athletes from ICSE Schools participated in this event.
