The Congress on Sunday said the country would not allow the black laws in the shape of farm-related Bills to roll out and succeed.
Congress chief Rahul Gandhi led his party’s charge on the issue and said the “Black laws passed by the Modi government will destroy the farm markets under the Agriculture Produce Marketing Act. How will the farmers get their MSP? Why don’t the bills guarantee MSP? The government is trying to enslave farmers to coroporates and the county will not let this happen,” he said tweeting hashtag #KisanVirodhiNarendraModi.
The TMC also attacked the government for passing the Bills amid ruckus in Rajya Sabha.
TMC House leader Derek O Brien who was seen in cameras trying to pull off the mics of Chairman, said, “They cheated. They broke every rule in Parliament. It was a historic day. In the worst sense of the word. They cut RSTV feed so the country couldn’t see. They censored RSTV. Don’t spread propaganda. We have evidence.”
The government, however, said the Opposition was not even in their seats to move amendments to the Bills in the Rajya Sabha and that they resorted to unprecedented disruption of the House after realising that they did not have the numbers.
