A short video of Sonu Sood on ‘who should be the CM’, shared by the Indian National Congress (INC) on Monday evening, created flutter in party circles.
In the video, the actor is heard saying that the CM or the king should not be the person who has to struggle or tell that he is the CM candidate. A person, who is backbencher should be told that he deserves it and such a person can change the nation.
Interestingly, as the actor speaks in the video, action pictures of Charanjit Singh Channi are played in the background to connect to the context.
Officially the party has been sticking to the line of jointly fighting the election under the face of Channi, Navjot Sidhu and Sunil Jakhar.
Sources said the uploading of the video has been timed ahead of tomorrow’s announcement of the CM face by AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal after getting feedback from the public.

“As the Congress does not want to lose the perceptions game on CM face, the video gives indication on what is going on in the mind of the party leadership,” said a senior leader.
Pressure is already mounting on the Congress high command to declare a CM face for the forthcoming assembly elections.
Raising the issue at different levels of the party forum over the past few days, several leaders, including some ministers, have been demanding that instead of giving the Opposition a chance to raise the issue, the party should clearly name the chief ministerial candidate.
