Congress candidate from the Jagadhri Assembly constituency Akram Khan defeated BJP’s Kanwar Pal Gujjar by a margin of 6,781 votes. Khan got 67,094 votes in all while Kanwar Pal Gujjar bagged 60,313 votes.

AAP’s candidate Adarsh Pal Singh Gurjar was third and secured 43,702 votes.
After winning the election, Akram Khan took out a roadshow to thank the public for their support. “I thank the people of my Assembly, party workers and leaders for this historic victory. It is their love that made me win this election,” said Khan.
BJP candidate Shyam Singh Rana secured the Radaur Assembly constituency by a margin of 13,249 votes.
He secured 73,117 votes and defeated three-time MLA and Congress candidate Bishan Lal Saini. Saini bagged 59,868 votes. BSP’s state president and candidate fielded by INLD-BSP Dharam Pal Tigra managed to get only 11,153 votes.
Rana said his victory was the victory of the people of his constituency and the workers of the BJP.
“The people of the constituency have shown faith in me and sent me to the Assembly. I will always be indebted to them. My priority will be to develop the constituency,” he said.
