Sirsa MP and Congress leader Kumari Selja said that the Congress party was going to form a government in the state as the party was moving towards a landslide victory.

She said that the people of the state wanted to get rid of the BJP government, which made a record in committing scams instead of paying attention to public welfare.

“I am very excited to see the huge crowd at this rally held by our party candidate Akram Khan. A similar atmosphere prevails in the entire state. This enthusiasm of the people towards Congress is pointing towards a big political change in the state,” said Kumari Selja, addressing a huge rally held by Akram Khan, Congress candidate from Jagadhri constituency, in Jagadhri on Sunday.

She said that after coming to power, the Congress government would investigate the scams which had been made by the BJP government in the past 10 years.

“In the last 10 years, the BJP government has given only instability. The youths troubled by unemployment are getting caught in the addiction of smack. About two lakh posts are lying vacant in government departments in the state. The BJP government did not feel the need to fill these posts,” said Kumari Selja.

She said drug addiction had become a major problem in the state and the Congress government would take concrete steps to eradicate this evil from society.

On this occasion, Congress MLA from Gujarat Jignesh, party candidate Akram Khan, state Mahila Congress president Sudha Bhardwaj and other leaders addressed the rally.

Ambala: Meanwhile, Selja also addressed a public meeting in support of Ambala Cantonment candidate Parvinder Pari, who is facing a tough contest due to party rebel and Independent candidate Chitra Sarwara. In her address, Selja said, “We are Congress workers and we work for the party. Some people are doing politics of vested interest, but Parvinder has always worked and stood for the party.”

“We have seen the BJP’s regime for 10 years. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has no achievements to show and only makes statements against the Congress. The days of BJP are gone and the Congress is going to form the government in Haryana,” she said.
