Cong does not fulfil election promises: Ex-CM
Former Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today accused the Congress of not fulfilling poll promises.
He alleged that the Congress had not fulfilled any promise made to people during elections in Himachal Pradesh even after two years. “The Congress had given 10 guarantees in Himachal Pradesh. Two years have passed but it has not fulfilled even one of the guarantees,” Thakur alleged while addressing mediapersons here. The Congress had defeated the BJP in the 2022 Assembly elections.
Thakur claimed that the Congress, during electioneering, had promised Rs 1,500 per month to women between 18 and 60 years of age, five lakh jobs to the youth and free electricity up to 300 units. “None of these guarantees has been fulfilled till now but the Congress has been making false claims in Jharkhand that it is fulfilling promises in Himachal Pradesh. I appeal to the people of Jharkhand not to fall prey to the promises of the Congress party,” he said.
