A complaint has been filed against Anurag Kashyap’s Ghost Stories, which was a part of a four-movie anthology, released on Netflix last year. According to reports, the complainant objected to a scene in the short film in which Sobhita Dhulipala’s character eats a foetus after having a miscarriage. According to the complaint, “The scene is not required for the plot, and if the creators wanted to include such a scene, there should have been a trigger warning for women who have gone through the trauma of miscarriages.”

The complaint falls under the Information Technology (Guidelines for Intermediaries and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021.
