Commissioner honours families of police martyrs
The Jalandhar Commissionerate of Police honoured the sacrifices of the police department’s fallen officers during a ceremony held to mark Police Commemoration Day at the police lines here on Monday.
Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma paid tribute to the police martyrs who laid down their lives in the line of duty. Forty-four families of the martyrs also participated in the event.
Sharma stressed the importance of remembering the sacrifices made by officers for the safety and security of the state. In his address, he emphasised that the legacy of these brave men and women would continue to inspire the police force for generations.
The families of the martyrs were also honored during the event, and their concerns were heard by the Commissioner and senior police officials. The Police Department reassured them of continued support, stating that they would always stand by the families of the fallen officers in times of need.
“The ceremony reinforced the commitment of the Commissionerate Police, Jalandhar, to uphold the memory of its heroes and ensure that their families receive the assistance and respect they deserve,” said the Police Commissioner.
