A driver of a combine harvester was electrocuted at Jandwala Mira Sangla village, 24 km from here, when the machine accidently touched high-voltage electricity wires. Deceased Sandeep (36) was a resident of the same village.

Sandeep’s family said he was married nine years ago and used to work as a combine operator. Late last evening, he was harvesting paddy in the fields of a farmer when the machine touched the overhead electricity wires.

Sandeep suffered serious injuries and was rushed to the Civil Hospital at Abohar where the doctors declared him dead. The body was handed over to the family members today.
