CM squad raids Narnaul DTP office, 14 found absent
A team of the Chief Minister's Flying Squad (CMFS) raided the office of the District Town Planner (DTP) at Narnaul today.
As many as 14 of the 15 officials were found absent at the time of the raid conducted by the CMFS team led by a DSP-level officer.
"Only one Class IV employee was found at the office at 9.10 am, though four arrived by 9.45 am and others came later," said NitinBhargava, Executive Engineer (Irrigation), who was present as the Duty Magistrate during the raid.
The employees attributed the delay in arrival to cold weather and long-distance travel.
Bhargava said the raiding party had prepared a report and sent it to the higher authorities for appropriate action in this regard.
Members of the raiding team also interacted with the residents present at the office and waiting for the officials/employees.
Sources maintained that there were complaints that the employees/officials usually arrived late, due to which the residents visiting the office for official work had to wait for long and face inconvenience.
The government offices are supposed to open at 9 am, but the staff members reportedly arrive late, especially during winters.
