The Chief Minister said he feels very happy to meet both the players. He said Manu Bhaker earned two bronze medals in shooting, while Sarabjot Singh also brought pride to the nation with his bronze medal. The entire nation is proud of both our players. He said soon all the medal winners will be honoured in a state-level ceremony.

Besides this, the Chief Minister also congratulated Neeraj Chopra for winning a silver medal and three players of hockey team for securing bronze medal.

The Chief Minister said Haryana, which has a population share of less than 2 per cent, has once again brought glory to the nation in the Olympics. Out of the five medals won by the country so far, four have been won by athletes from Haryana, which is a matter of pride for the entire state, he said.

Manu Bhaker emphasised the unique cultural and dietary habits of the people of Haryana, which she believes are instrumental in developing the athletic prowess of the state’s youth.

She also praised the state’s sports policy, calling it the best in the country. She said the Haryana Government has always provided us with the best possible support to nurture our talent.

Echoing Bhaker’s sentiments, Sarabjot Singh also lauded the cash rewards and incentives provided by the Haryana Government.

He said exceptional support provided by the Haryana Government has been instrumental in propelling the state’s athletes to the global stage.
