He said the facility would provide a huge reprieve to those desirous of buying new vehicles. He said by empowering private dealers to issue the registration certificate, the aim of the government was to provide relief to people as they would not have to stand in long queues for hours to get their new vehicles registered.

The Chief Minister said the step would also help provide a clean, transparent, effective and corruption-free administration to the people. He said the private dealers would provide this facility to new vehicle owners by login through their Aadhaar numbers. After login, the dealer would upload data/documents of the new vehicle and verification would be conducted with the owner’s Aadhaar number.
