Cleanliness lecture marks NSS Day

The NSS Unit of SD College organised an expert lecture on ‘Cleanliness is Service’ on the occasion of NSS Day. Punjabi Department Head Gurcharan Singh elaborated on the deep connection between cleanliness and health and emphasised how a clean environment cold help reduce diseases and enhance the quality of life. The programme was attended by a number of students and teachers. The keynote speaker exhorted on the importance of cleanliness as an important element of public service and social welfare. The programme inspired the students to take responsibility for maintaining cleanliness in their personal lives and society. NSS officers of the college — Manpreet Kaur and Neha — were also present on the occasion. Managing Committee Chairperson Hema Sharma, Secretary Shri Gopal Sharma and Principal Savita Gupta Aery congratulated the NSS unit for the successful event.
