Four sweepers of the city are set to be honoured by the government for their exceptional service record and for maintaining cleanliness in the city. The women — Kavita Devi, Radha Rani, Kanta Devi, and Rekha Rani — would be present at the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi tomorrow.

The MC Secretary said the four women have been shortlisted by the Central Government for their exceptional work and their dedication in maintaining hygiene in the city. He added that they have been invited to witness the Republic Day Parade with their families, adding that the government is hosting them in the national capital. They would have the privilege of witnessing the parade from a special enclosure along with other workers from across the country.
