CKD condemns attack at UK gurdwara
Amritsar, July 12
Chief Khalsa Diwan members strongly condemned the attack at Gurdwara Sri Guru Nanak Darbar in UK. The historical gurudwara in Kent, which is known for its similar dome-shaped architectural design as the Golden Temple, was in news as a 17-year-old teenager was arrested after he attacked and assaulted several devotees inside the gurdwara.
While the UK police have described the incident as ‘isolated’, Chief Khalsa Diwan president Dr Inderbir Singh Nijjar and the office-bearers jointly said that the incident of fearlessly and openly attacking Sikhs inside their place of worship is highly condemnable and unfortunate. “This incident must be condemned strongly and there is a wave of protest in the Sikh community,” he said.
Nijjer said there is a systematic conspiracy behind the execution of such events by extremists, who have been exposed to the rise of Sikhs abroad.
