A city resident has been duped of Rs 57 lakh by a fraudster on the pretext of investment.

Madhavjeet Singh Grewal reported that he had signed up for a training class earlier this year and was persuaded to invest through an online platform.

The complainant alleged that the scheme was led by Rajat Chopra, who claimed to have been competing in the global trading championship (GTC). Grewal invested Rs 57 lakh and later realised that he had been duped.
