Choosing Congress will bring back gundaraj in Gurugram: BJP candidate
Upping his campaign pitch in the last week, the BJP candidate from Badshahpur, Rao Narbir Singh, is now out warning people “the return of ‘gundaraj’ in Gurugram if the Congress came to power”.
Calling pre-2014 Congress regime an era of lawlessness land grabbing and zero accountability, Narbir said getting the Congress government in the state would bring back the dark ages, especially in the millennium city.
‘BJP gave transparency, accountability’
If you have a problem, you can question the government and even officials through proper channels and the resolution takes place. The BJP gave you CM windows, grievance committees and Samadhan Shivirs. Before 2014, women couldn’t walk safely on roads, it was a trigger-friendly regime where guns were pulled out during road rage, gangwars and shootouts were common. — Rao Narbir Singh, BJP candidate from Badshahpur
“Every single Gurugram resident remembers what it was like before 2014. Women couldn’t walk safely on roads, it was a trigger-friendly regime where guns were pulled out during road rage, gangwars and shootouts were common. It was a cakewalk for land mafia to grab plots and land parcels and there was no accountability. People struggled to even report these issues, leave aside getting justice. The Congress has not changed its core character and will unleash an era of lawlessness which nobody can afford,” said Narbir.
Addressing Badshahpur residents Narbir said though there was no denial that civic issues did plague Gurugram, at least there was hearing and resolution.
“The BJP gave you transparency and accountability. If you have a problem, you can question the government and even officials through proper channels and resolution happens. The BJP gave you CM windows, grievance committees and even Samadhan shivirs. Today if you put a problem on social media, it is resolved, but with the Congress files were pending for years. Broken roads and sewerage can be repaired, but living in ‘gundaraj’ again will not be possible,” added Narbir.
Narbir, who has been visiting every nook and corner of his Assembly segment, has been promising a change from what the BJP government did in last five years. Home Minister Amit Shah will be visiting Badhshpur to support Narbir over the weekend and Narbir has claimed that it will be the biggest rally of the region.
