A fresh suspected case of cholera was reported from Sohana today. A Health department team reached the spot and surveyed the area. A health department team and doctors visited the spot.”
Meanwhile, the total number of supected diarrhoea cases in Kumbhra are around 100 now with five patients hospitalised.
Dr Davinder Kumar said that the condition of all the patients admitted to the hospital and other patients is stable and doctors are monitoring their health day and night. The teams of the health department have also conducted a house-to-house survey so that necessary medical assistance can be given before any case comes to light. Apart from this, water samples have also been taken from the water supply lines in the affected area of the village and elsewhere. He said that the situation is completely under control and the patients are being taken care of.
The health department has appealed to the people to drink boiled water and to reach the nearest health centre only if they have severe symptoms of fever or other related diseases. “Such diseases occur due to the turbidity of drinking water, so everyone should drink filtered water or boiled water, especially during the rainy season. The health department is making full efforts to ensure that more people do not fall under the grip of the disease and that the patients are satisfied as soon as possible,” said an official.
