Chillianwala House wins overall trophy at Kunjpura Sainik School
Thaneshwar House is runners- up
In the 61st inter-house athletics meet at Sainik Schoo,l Kunjpura, Chillianwala House won the overall trophy in the senior category, while Thaneshwar House was runners- up. In the juniors’ category, the champion was Panipat House and runners-up was Chillianwala House and in the Holding House trophy was lifted by Chhamb House and runners-up was Shakargarh House, said Col Vijay Rana, Principal, Sainik School, Kunjpura.
In the girls category, the championship trophy was lifted by Chillianwala House and runners-up was Panipat.
The chief guest for the closing ceremony was Ram Kumar Kashyap, Indri MLA, who gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up. Earlier, he paid homage to the martyrs at the War Memorial and paid respect to each War Hero of Kunjeyan family.
At the athletics meet finals of different events for the senior, junior and Holding House categories were held. Kashyap praised the school authorities for holding the event for the overall development of students. He congratulated the winners of all divisions, specially the juniors and girls and encouraged the rest to keep practicing and enhancing their stamina, agility and performances for an improved performance in future events.
Col Rana said in the senior category the best athlete was Aryan Sheokhand, in the juniors category it was Aman, in the Holding House category the best athlete was Yashraj, the best athlete in the girls category was Anandita and in the Holding House girls it was Yashu.
