The Punjab Chemists’ Association has decided to initiate agitation if their long-pending demands are not accepted.
Surinder Duggal, chief, Punjab Chemists’ Association, said around 27,000 chemists would proceed on strike in second week of December to press upon the government to accept their demands.
Our key demands include prompt disposal of new and renewed drug licences, continuation of old drug policy, action against online drug sellers for violating guidelines laid down by the drug authorities, end stringent condition imposed on chemists and refrain authorities from taking samples of over the counter drugs, he said.
