A seven year Class II student of the Yadavindra Public School (YPS), Saanvi Sood, achieved the national record of being the youngest girl to reach the Everest summit base camp in June this year.

Adding another feather to her cap on July 23, Saanvi created another record of being Asia’s youngest child to scale the highest peak of Africa, Mt Kilimanjaro, which is at the height of 5895 metre.

Saanvi faced rough weather conditions and other challenges, but with strong grit and determination she was able to reach summit.
