Youth festival: PU overall champion for 3rd year in a row
Panjab University has won the overall champion trophy in the Inter-University Youth Festival held at Punjab Agricultural University in Ludhiana. The university won the trophy for the third year in the row.
DAV giddha team bags top spot
The DAV College, Sector 10, bagged the first position in giddha in the Inter-University Youth festival. A total of 11 teams participated in the event, representing different universities of the state.
The festival was organised by the Punjab Directorate of Youth Affairs, from November 29 to December 2 and saw as many as 17 universities, consisting of over 2,000 students, had participated in in 45 events, including literary, heritage, music, fine arts and dance. The LPU, Phagwara, and the GNDU, Amritsar, secured the second and third positions, respectively.
The overall trophy was received by Rohit Kumar Sharma, Director Youth Welfare, PU. The PU contingent comprised over 150 students from various its affiliated colleges and departments.
