The U-17 girl cagers of Vivek High School, Sector 38, recorded a 20-5 win over Smart Wonders School, Mohali, during the ongoing Sardar Bhagwant Singh Memorial Basketball Trophy at the Sector 78 sports complex in Mohali. Ayesha scored four points for the winning side, while Japleen added an identical four points to the tally of the Mohali outfit.

In the boys’ U-17 category, St Peter’s School, Sector 38, defeated Shishu Niketan School 38-4 as Nakul contributed 14 points for the team. St Joseph’s School, Sector 44, recorded a 26-13 win over St Soldier School, Panchkula, as Nauneet alone gathered 17 points for the winning side.

Yadavindra Public School, Mohali, defeated St Peter’s 26-8 in the boys’ U-14 category, while Shemrock School, Mohali, recorded a 22-13 win over Saupin’s School, Sector 32. In the girls’ U-14 event, Saupin’s School emerged victorious over Delhi Public School, Sector 40, with a 20-10 verdict. Madhav scored 15 points for the winner’s squad.

The boys’ U-12 team of St Anne’s School, Sector 32, defeated Saupin’s School 19-8 as Samarbir pocketed 11 points for the winning side. In a closely contested match, Manav Rachna School, Mohali, edged out St Peter’s 14-13. Dev from Manav Rachna was the top scorer with six points. In the girls’ U-12 category, Sacred Heart School, Sector 26, recorded a 17-4 win over Delhi Public School.
